Tonsil Stones Anyone?

Tonsil stones sound very painful and gross don’t you think?  Well in many ways it is but do you actuially know what they are?

A tonsil stone, or tonsillolith, is a small accumulation of bacteria and debris that collects in the back of the throat and gets lodged in the tonsils.  The debris that makes them is caused by excessive mucus, sinus drainage, and bacteria waste. This type of debris then putrifies and gets trapped in your tonsils, in little pockets called tonsil crypts.

The bad news:  It is unlikely that you will escape tonsil stones at some point in your life as jusrt about everyone in the world siffers at some point or another.

Morning Breath and Bacteria Poop

What is morning breath and why on earth is it so darn awful?  Well, I probably don’t have to tell you what morning breath is, but the explanation for why it occurs is pretty interesting.

Your bad breath is first and foremost caused by bacteria.  Actually, scratch that. It’s not really the actual bacteria that causes the bad breath, it’s the waste the bacteria leaves behind.  That’s right, I said bacteria waste.  Bacteria poop is causing your bad breath!  Is it any wonder it’s so completely disgusting?
